Salem NH Bike-Ped Corridor
The Friends of the Salem NH Bike Ped Corridor
Very proud to be apart of the small group here in Salem that is currently helping the Town of Salem NH and State of NH convert the old rail line into the bike and pedestrian corridor that starts at the Salem-Windham line, and works its way down to Methuen MA. Over the next few years, the entire 5-6 mile section will be paved.
From Salem heading north, the overall plan will see paved trail extend to Lebanon, NH – approximately 120 miles. From Salem south, we would extend into Methuen and Lawrence.
I got involved with the Rail Trail for a couple reasons. Firstly, it allowed me to continue running and preparing for my annual half marathons. Lastly, the rail trail is a tremendous enhancement to the Town of Salem, and the asset will continue to attract people for recreation, and have a positive economic impact to the town.
